New wrap skirt just finished today.
I've had yardage of this vintage poly fabric for a while not having a particular project in mind.
Although the fabric has never been one of my favorite the appliqued roses in combination with floral trip really made this skirt stand out.
Wool sweater scraps came in really handy in making these appliqued roses. I hand-cut the trim from a cotton sheet.
Being a big fan of natural fibers I I find pure cotton not to be the best for the purposes of bias making, however. Somehow, poly/cotton blends are much easier to cut on a bias; they are also easier to press and apply to.
The skirt is fully lined with co-ordinading fabric.
