I haven't done any significant sewing in preparation for Xmas.
The days are full of little cleaning here and there, decorating, cooking and, the latest, little baking.
As I mentioned in my earlier posts I am not big on baking. I am much better at sewing (LOL). The other days, in a kitchen pantry, I found an old-forgotten KitchenAid mixer that my friend gave me a few years ago. As it happens it significantly speeds up the work and does pretty good job at kneading dough, etc. I found bread recipe in one of Jamie Oliver's book and decided give it a try.
I would say I am very happy with the way my first bread came out. The steps were pretty straight-forward and I didn't face any problems with dough rising.
I went a little further by adding chopped sage and raisins.
Here are the loaves on their way to the oven (little clumsy, I agree):
