I just caught myself thinking that I actually never use the word "honey" around the house. I have no idea why it jumped out at me when I was writing the title for my new Etsy's bag listing.
Anyway, I came up with the idea for this bag going through the pictures in this wonderful Japanese book.
It's full of projects on how to re-make, re-purpose and re-use clothing and accessory items. Not big on sewing clothes, I've never made anything from this book before. However, this time the hankerchief projects drew my attention. I had a couple of them in my stash. That's how it's all started.
The first bag was finished today. It looks casual and flirty at the same time. Made from the beige linen I got the other days. I added some lace and decorative stitching along the frayed edging. The bag is available at my Etsy shop (www.creativebabies.etsy.com).
Last night I received a package from www.allaboutsofi.etsy.com with the little memory stick pouches that you see in the frame. They are just adorable! I hung them in my craft corner to keep my photo inspiration files handy.
