I haven't been able to post anything for a while. Partialy, because of being a procrastinator who always convinces herself that TOMORROW I will do it for sure!
I've been in a "vintage" mood lately inspired by my old family pictures and also by the great pattern booklet I found on Ebay. Published in 1945 it has 16 patterns of crocheted bags. I am fascinated by these black and white pictures and keep turning the pages back and forth.
The other day, on my thrift treasure hunting trip I found these Vera napkins that would make wonderful pillows for the coach in our freshly peach painted living room. I am planning on a trip to a local fabric store to find the matching backing for them. So excited!
My last experience with the pillows wasn't very sucessfull, though. I cut two beautiful vintage linen towels to make them and wasn't pleased with the result. To my taste, the towel part doesn't blend well with the ribbon trim and greyish linen of the base fabric. But you never sure about how it's going to come out untill you try it!
All right, I am on my way to a fabric store now!
